Pat received her certification as a court reporter in 1980. In 1988 Pat, along with Stephen Gerger, launched Gerger-Moretti Reporting. Pat and Steve worked together until 2001 when Steve retired and moved to Montana.

In 1996 Gerger-Moretti added a medical transcription department and the company became Gerger-Moretti Sten-Tel. In 2005 Gerger-Moretti StenTel changed its name to Moretti Transcription Solutions.

In October 2004, Pat joined forces with another well-known court reporter from Saint Joseph, Michigan, Charles Murphy, owner of Murphy Reporting. The firm is now known as Moretti & Murphy Reporting.

Pat is a well-known court reporter as well as a member of the National Court Reporters Association (NCRA), the Michigan Association of Professional Court Reporters (MAPCR), and the past president of MAPCR. She is a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Management Advantage Course, a graduate of the Certified Manager of Reporting Services Course offered by NCRA, a member of the Small Business Association, a member of the National Federation of Independent Businesses, and a member of the Kalamazoo County Chamber of Commerce.

Pat’s main focus has always been on quality and service, and as a result Moretti Group has a very fine reputation in the medical, insurance and legal communities.

Moretti Transcription Solutions was acquired in July of 2009 by MD-IT, a national provider of EMR, document management, speech recognition and medical transcription services.

Jon now serves as the Regional Director for MD-IT’s Great Lakes Region.

Charles Murphy, CSR, RPR

Court Reporter

Chuck Murphy received his high school diploma from Clinton High School in Clinton, IA in 1965. He then chose to further his education at Eastern Iowa Community College where he received his Associates of Arts degree in 1969. In 1972, Chuck Murphy graduated from Chicago College of Commerce with a degree in Court and Conventional Reporting. He spent three years working for Holle & White as a reporter and then became a joint owner from 1974 - 1979. Chuck started his own firm, Murphy Reporting, in 1979 and was the sole owner until 2004. At that time, Patricia Moretti and Chuck Murphy decided to combine their court reporting firms and a new firm was born, Moretti & Murphy Reporting. Chuck continues on as a reporter for the new firm.
